2,760 Illegal Narcotic Pills Seized from Jalore Pharmacy; Owner Arrested Under NDPS Act

In a recent drug enforcement action, the Ahore police in Jalore district, Rajasthan, seized 2,760 narcotic tablets from Mamta Medical and General Store based on a tip-off from District Drug Control Officer Pushpa Solanki. The pharmacy owner, Sitaram Vaishnav, was arrested for illegal possession of controlled substances under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act.
The confiscated tablets included:
TROMA-100 SR (Tramadol Hydrochloride Sustained Release Tablets, 100 mg): 1,480 tablets
Alpram-0.5 Tablets (Alprazolam Tablets, 0.5 mg): 1,250 tablets
ULTRA KING (Tramadol Hydrochloride & Acetaminophen Tablets): 30 tablets
Ahore Station Officer Dharmaram confirmed that Sitaram, a resident of Koshelav in Pali district, was the current operator of Mamta Medical and General Store in Madhopura, Ahore. The drugs, typically controlled under strict regulations, were being sold without appropriate legal authorization.
Further investigation is ongoing to determine the supplier network and distribution of these narcotic drugs. The case is being managed by Nosara Station Officer, with a team led by ASI Surendrasinh and supported by multiple constables.
