Union Minister for AYUSH Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav announced the government's plans to establish a national regulatory framework for the AYUSH sector, aiming to standardize and strengthen practices in Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. The announcement was made during the 30th convocation ceremony of SDM College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (SDMCNYS) at the Amritavarshini Auditorium in Dharmasthala.

The Union government is planning to introduce a regulatory framework to bring uniformity and enhance credibility in the AYUSH sector.  2.  Promoting Yoga and Naturopathy:

  • Minister Jadhav highlighted the growing importance of yoga and naturopathy in tackling non-communicable diseases globally.

  • He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiatives like International Yoga Day and International Meditation Day as steps towards promoting holistic health.
