Researchers at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, have successfully developed a novel biosensor capable of early-stage detection of dengue fever. The innovative diagnostic tool, created by Prof. Badekai Ramachandra Bhat from the Department of Chemistry and research scholar Shreeganesh Subraya Hegde, aims to significantly improve the timely diagnosis of dengue, a mosquito-borne viral disease that poses a major global health challenge.
