• Scientific Innovation Meets Ayurveda:

Developed by well-known chemical-nuclear scientist J.B. Joshi along with his son, Aniruddha Joshi, Nadi Tarangini, uses very advanced sensors and artificial intelligence to analyze vata, pitta, and kapha–those fundamental principles that lie at the very basis of diagnosing Ayurveda.

• A Vision 20 Years in the Making:

Inspired by this variation in pulse diagnosis in the Ayurvedic way of medicine during his treatment two decades back, J.B. Joshi envisioned a scientific approach toward standardization. His son, who is a PhD scholar in IIT Bombay, designed piezoelectric sensors mimicking the human sensitivity of fingertips to measure pulse waves precisely.

• Technologically aided diagnosis:

The device gives a very detailed 10-page report in 10 Indian languages, for 22 Ayurvedic parameters including stress levels, digestive health, and general well-being. Data-driven insights help to make Ayurveda evidence-based and more credible worldwide.

In the CDSCO certification process, data from 25,000 patients validated the accuracy of Nadi Tarangini at 85%.

• Patents and Global Adoption:

Patents have been obtained in India, the US, Europe, and Indonesia. The device is being used in 1,250 Ayurvedic clinics and has tested over five lakh patients.

• Support and Commercialization:

Aniruddha Joshi started Atreya Innovations in Pune with funding from CSIR and mentorship by Persistent Systems' Anand Deshpande to take the technology to the market.
