  • A Vision 20 Years in the Making:

Inspired by this variation in pulse diagnosis in the Ayurvedic way of medicine during his treatment two decades back, J.B. Joshi envisioned a scientific approach toward standardization. His son, who is a PhD scholar in IIT Bombay, designed piezoelectric sensors mimicking the human sensitivity of fingertips to measure pulse waves precisely.

The device gives a very detailed 10-page report in 10 Indian languages, for 22 Ayurvedic parameters including stress levels, digestive health, and general well-being. Data-driven insights help to make Ayurveda evidence-based and more credible worldwide.

Aniruddha Joshi started Atreya Innovations in Pune with funding from CSIR and mentorship by Persistent Systems' Anand Deshpande to take the technology to the market.
