AIPAC initiated its first training and development program for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the pharmaceutical sector on 12 December 2024 at the Prestige Institute of Management & Research, Indore. More than 250 professionals attended to enhance regulatory compliance, skill development, and scientific excellence in the MSME segment.

It was inaugurated by Dr Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI), Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO).

Indian Drug Manufacturers' Association, MP
Madhya Pradesh State Drugs and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association.
Theme and Focus
The theme was "Symposium on Dissolution Science & Technology for QA, QC, R&D, and Regulatory Professionals of Pharma.".
Critical areas discussed included:
Testing of dissolution and regulatory standards
Quality assurance and validation
Addressing out-of-specification results
Notable Discussions and Speakers:
Vijay Kshirsagar: Spoke about the evolution of dissolution science and regulatory challenges.
Suhas Yewale: Discussed advancements in dissolution apparatus as per Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP) standards.
Dr Rupesh Kelaskar: Highlighted methods for developing discriminatory dissolution testing.
Sudhir Tomar: Stressed the importance of validation and verification processes.
Dr Padma Devarajan: Shared insights on the role of dissolution medium as a testing parameter.
Rajendra Dadhich and Sonalika Parashar: Addressed challenges like methodology deviations and troubleshooting during testing.
Empower MSMEs:
AIPAC's aim is to bridge the gap between MSME pharmaceutical professionals and regulatory bodies such as CDSCO and State FDA.
The programme was on equipping the MSMEs with the tools and knowledge required to produce compliant, high-quality medicines.
According to Dr L. Ramaswamy, founder and national convener of AIPAC, "The consortium envisages a national knowledge-platform with training.
Participation and Support:
More than 250 participants include MSME professionals, regulators, industry leaders, academics, and postgraduate students.
Partners: SOTAX, USP, IP, and Asian Paints helped in the success of the event.
Dr Darshan Kataria, President of MPSDMA, presented strategies to help MSMEs overcome manufacturing and quality assurance challenges.
