Why This Update?
The GST Council has revised the tax rates for various categories of medicines. As part of this update, certain medicines will now have a new GST rate, which will impact the pricing, invoicing, and accounting processes.
What You Need to Do
Update Your Records: Please update your records and ensure that the correct GST rate is applied to all medicines starting from 22nd September 2025.
Review Your Invoices: Make sure that your invoices reflect the new GST rates. This change is mandatory for all new sales transactions.
How to Access the Updated GST List:
Beside is the button containing the revised GST list of medicines. Please download it to check which products have been affected by the rate changes.
Important Notes:
Legacy Invoices: If you have already generated invoices with the old GST rate before the update, these invoices will not be editable post-[Date]. Please make sure all pending transactions are processed before the effective date.
Returns Policy: Medicine returns for bills dated before 22nd September 2025 may not be possible after the effective date.
Future Compliance: Ensure all purchase bills for medicines dated after 22nd September 2025 are entered into the system before the update date to avoid issues.
